The spine strip has darkened, and a 1/4 in. piece of cloth is missing from a corner. Other frayed spots are smaller. The cloth has soiling. The blank ink has dimmed on the pitcher's face, arms, and lower legs on the front board's illustration. The text block ends have darkened. The pages have fingerprint and other stains.
