The dustwrapper has some wear to the edges and corners, with some small rips to the top edges of spine, discolouring to to spine and folds. The blue boards are clean with some bumping to the edges and corners, with black lettering to the spine, rip to headband of spine. The binding is firm. The pages are clean and crease free. Card cover (hardcover). Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 2nd Edition. Second printing of a book first published by McKay in 1941. This edition was published in 1958 and has been produced for sale in the UK with a G. Bell slip tipped in over the title page. The jacket has no US price and has the sterling price stamped on the front flap. The boards have a very heavy dent in the top edge of the rear panel and heavy rubbing at the top and bottom of the spine and along the bottom edges. Browning to the page edges. Small bookseller label to the front pastedown and the pages are a little browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has heavy browning to the spine which is a little chipped at the top and bottom, a quarter inch closed tear to the top edge of the rear panel and some corner rubbing.
