Basic Christianity: Foundations of Faith for Following Jesus Today: A Practical Guide to Understanding the Bible, Salvation, and the Christian Life

For many people, Christianity feels confusing, overwhelming, or even misrepresented. Some grew up in church but were never taught the foundations of their faith. Others are curious about Jesus but unsure where to begin.

Basic Christianity was written to answer those questions with clarity, honesty, and hope.

Drawing from Scripture, church history, and pastoral experience, this book explores the core truths of the Christian faith, not as abstract theology, but as a living invitation to know God, live in freedom, and grow into the likeness of Jesus.

• What the Bible is and how to read it with confidence

• Who God is, and why the gospel centers on love and rescue

• What it means to be saved, and why grace changes everything

• How free will, obedience, and spiritual growth fit together

• Why following Jesus is not about fear or perfection, but transformation

Written for both lifelong churchgoers and honest seekers, Basic Christianity presents faith as a journey of the heart, one shaped by Scripture, community, and the steady pursuit of God.

• You want a clearer understanding of the Christian faith

• You’ve asked, “What does it really mean to be a Christian?”

• You’re returning to faith after distance or doubt

• You want a solid foundation before going deeper

Whether read alone, in a small group, or alongside Scripture, Basic Christianity offers a grounded starting point for following Jesus today.
