Basic Civil Engineering

This book has been written primarily as an introductory course in Civil Engineering. Most of the universities in India are running an Elementary Civil Engineering course for non-Civil Engineering students. A student of any discipline in engineering courses is expected to have a preliminary conceptual knowledge about Civil Engineering. This book is written as per the new syllabus of ?Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (M.P.)?. In this book, all the topics are explained in a direct manner, avoiding unnecessary explanations. The entire text is divided into five units covering vast topics of Civil Engineering. Civil Engineering Materials, Building & Construction, Surveying and position, Mapping and Sensing and Disaster-resistant Building. These five units are further divided into various chapters. In the third unit of Surveying and Positioning, a large number of numericals have been solved for easy understanding to the students.
