Basic Computer Knowledge

Basic Computer Knowledge is a practical beginner’s guide for anyone who wants to use a computer with confidence, even if they are starting from zero.

This book teaches the everyday skills people actually need. It starts with the basics of how computers work, then moves into Windows 7 step-by-step, followed by clear beginner training for Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Each section is written in simple language and focuses on real tasks you will do at home, school, office, or in a training center.

Inside this guide, you will learn how to:

• Understand hardware and software in plain language
• Use Windows 7 safely and confidently (Start Menu, taskbar, files, folders, USB, printing)
• Avoid common computer risks with good password, update, and backup habits
• Use Control Panel settings without damaging your system
• Troubleshoot common problems like slow performance, no sound, and internet issues
• Use Paint for simple editing, labels, and screenshot annotations
• Write clean documents in Word and build a real report from start to finish
• Create clear PowerPoint presentations with good design and confident delivery
• Use shortcuts, checklists, glossaries, and practice projects to build skill through action

If you want a simple guide that teaches real skills, not theory, Basic Computer Knowledge will help you move from confusion to confidence one step at a time.
