Original b/w illustrated staple-bound wraps 21x28cm. 13pp. Undated, but post-1958 based on reference to the United Arab Republic. Very good. The American Friends of the Middle East was founded in 1951 by journalist Dorothy Thompson, Kermit Roosevelt, Harry Emerson Fosdick among others, to promote peaceful relations between the US and Arab countries. Erich Bethmann (1902-93) was its Research Director. This was issued as part of a series of country briefs (including Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Syria, and the UAR). He describes ancient civilisations in the Middle East, Nile Valley, and Tigris-Euphrates Valley with a chronology of Mesopotamia. Rare, with 5 locations on Worldcat, none on Library Hub.

Shipping terms
SHIPPING: Domestic and international shipping is tracked and insured with UPS. This has unfortunately meant an increase in domestic rates especially, and in most cases I am absorbing some of the increase. (I have moved away from Royal Mail owing to a series of problems).
DELIVERY DEADLINES: If you have a hard deadline for receipt that is before the processing time stated on Abe, eg, if you need it to arrive urgently before you travel or before a particular event, please contact me at the time of order to advise, so options can be discussed and steps taken to ensure it gets there in time.
RETURNS: Please return any items for refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, and contact me first with the reason for the return to establish whether postal costs will be included in the refund. If the item is not as described, I will cover the original and return post.
