When C. M. O’Guin went to be with the Lord in 1998 at age 101, it brought to an end a life of prolific gifts to the kingdom of God. He served as a leader with both the Assemblies of God (Illinois District) and the Pentecostal Church of God. He pastored in Granite City, Illinois for 48 years and served as a district and national leader for the Pentecostal Church of God for 45. Brother O’Guin loved young ministers and wrote this book specifically to be his gift to them and their ministries. His first book, Special Occasion Helps, won the “Book of the Year” award from Baker Book House and has continued through many printings to be a valuable resource for ministers.
