According to the scriptures, especially in the New Testament, God calls every one of his disciples to a ministry. In the church, Christ through his Holy Spirit, distributes a diversity of spiritual abilities, known as Spiritual Gifts, to use in the service or ministry to others. These gifts are to be used by each Christian in the congregation to build up the church and extend the gospel to all who do not know Christ.

"There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord." (1 Corinthians 12:5) "Tell Archippus: 'See to it that you complete the work you have received in the Lord.'" (Colossians 4:17) This book provides introductory lessons on the following ministries:

Worship Ministries
Nazarene Compassionate Ministries
Communication Ministries
Personal Discipleship Ministry
Evangelism Ministries
Youth Evangelism Ministries
Youth Ministries
Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries
Nazarene Missions International
Global Mission
Pastoral Ministries
Work and Witness Ministries
