A clear, accessible writing style and a logical organization make this a unique and practical handbook that students really use. More than just a grammar reference, THE BASICS helps writers learn to draft, revise, and edit their own writing by providing step-by-step instruction on the writing process and teaches by example with a variety of student and professional examples. It also includes exercises and writing assignments, and integrated ESL coverage throughout. The comb-bound format, with tabs, and the elegant, gimmick-free design make this handbook especially useful and unintimidating.
