The Battle for the Book of Good Deeds (Paperback)

Paperback. THE BATTLE FOR THE BOOK OF GOOD DEEDS, a fictional adventure laced with historical facts, has proven to be eerily prophetic. In a scene (page 47) that could have been ripped from current headlines, non-profit organizations are targeted with government audits that require years of back records. Those many charities failing the strenuous tests are closed. In another chapter (page 84) characters express fears of a looming World War III. On one hand this story is an action/adventure/fantasy for readers age 8 to 12, but on a deeper level it's a commentary -- and a warning -- for adults about the dangerous path our nation has chosen. In this modern fable, will an orphaned boy's steadfast belief in a legend about an ancient book protected by an immortal owl restore hope to a world ravaged by evil? Join Marty, his older sister, Ginny, and their grandparents on this action-packed quest as they follow the clues left by a World War I soldier to find The Book of Good Deeds and you may discover the power of the good that lies within your own heart. It's the perfect adventure for grandparents to share with their grandchildren and vice versa. This item is printed on demand.
