Bishop George O. Adebanjo is the senior pastor and founder of The Living Word International Church of God In Christ in Nashville, TN. He is a native of Lagos, Nigeria. After finishing his high school education, he traveled to Europe, Canada and the U.S.A. Dr. Adebanjo received a Stationary Engineer's license from George Brown College in Toronto, Canada and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. In 1994, after 8 years of pastoral ministry, Dr. Adebanjo took a giant step of faith and walked away from a professional career in engineering to passionately pursue the call of God into a life of full-time ministry. Shortly thereafter, he earned a master's and doctorate degree in theology (M.Th. and Th.D.) from Andersonville Baptist Seminary located in Camilla, Georgia. In 2005, the Church of God In Christ, Inc., consecrated Dr. Adebanjo as Bishop over Pakistan Jurisdiction. In 2008, Bishop Adebanjo campaigned for one of the 12 seats on the General Board of the Church of God in Christ and was only 2 places away from being #12 in the election. This was an unprecedented accomplishment for a foreign bishop. Bishop Adebanjo is the author of several books and workbooks including, Thank God for Deliverance, No Weapon Formed Shall Prevail, Strayed Dogs and Demons, The Cost of Worship, Fasting with a Purpose, Discerning Spiritual Attacks and others. He has hosted and produced several television and radio shows. Bishop Adebanjo has a heartbeat for the nations. He is also the founder and president of International Outreach Ministries, Inc. a non-profit organization that provides apostolic covering for over one hundred churches in Asia and Africa. He has traveled extensively to many parts of the world maintaining a global vision in his mission to advance the gospel to the ends of the earth. His wife of over twenty-five years, Jennifer, is an associate professor and chair of the Political Science & History Department at the historic Fisk University. Bishop Adebanjo has one daughter, Nicole and a grandson, Xavier.
