Illustrated with a steel lithograph frontispiece and eight additional full-page, wood-engraved illustrations. Glazier fought on in a New York regiment during the Civil War, and recounts his experiences in combat here (Find a Grave, "Captain Willard Glazier"). Endpapers replaced, blindstamp on the free front endpaper and half-title page, flecks of wear to the extremities.
