Synopsis: The reader will glean a basic understanding of Five Element Theory, the generative and control cycles, and the meridian wheel, and the correspondences between organs, elements, emotions, virtues, colors and more. Within that context two mind/body guided meditations are presented that reinforce the connections between internal organs. Stress, whether from the environment, climate changes, or interpersonal, can lead to a disconnection and a sense of isolation and lack of support. The simple meditations described in these pages will not only bring the benefit of a sense of connection that translates to social and psychological domains. As well, regular practice of these meditations brings all the organs and meridians into their natural balance which contributes to alleviating a variety of symptoms - including pain, rashes, jet lag, insomnia, headaches, and more.
About the Author: This is Judith Poole's fourth volume on the subject of subtle energy, wellness and self-care. Earlier volumes include More Than Meets the Eye: Energy (1999), The Little Grounding Book (1993) and The Well-Being Switch (2006). She is a certified Reiki Master, qigong and t'ai chi instructor, and practitioner of Donna Eden's Energy Medicine. Judith began studying with Master Mantak Chia in 1983. The following year she met sound healer Sarah Benson, with whom she worked for many years. In the ensuing years, Judith has worked as a writer for Mantak Chia, and studied a number of additional healing modalities including energy psychology, matrix energetics, and Mayan light language. She has a healing practice in Watertown, MA, USA, and teaches writing and wellness classes as well as on-going weekly classes at the Longfellow Club in Wayland, MA, USA. Judith invites you to join her for the annual healing retreat she facilitates each summer that includes a number of modalities for transforming limiting beliefs and emotions, and for working directly to change energy patterns that result from stress. Judith has used the methods described in her books to continue to thrive in the face of a number of long-term health challenges that took her away from an earlier career, managing data bases for a consulting firm doing public and private sector policy research. Her passion is spreading a can-do sense of empowerment and optimism, both among those dealing with significant health challenges, and those interested in promoting well-being for themselves and others. She believes that there is no limit to what can be accomplished with knowledge, understanding, clear intention and spiritual support.
