This book is the first of its kind to demonstrate how to weave beads using the algorithms of cellular automata (CA), blending mathematics with art. It is a how-to-craft guide that focuses more on the creative process than the mathematical theory yet provides enough mathematical background to help readers understand and manipulate CA algorithms. With a variety of CA rules and designs, this book inspires readers to create their own art, patterns, and jewelry. The techniques explained in this book can be applied to many artistic mediums, including coloring (see Appendix), painting, tile laying, crochet, and quilt making. By following the clear instructions, readers will learn to create beaded artwork using CA methods and explore the intersection of mathematics and visual design. This book is perfect for those who enjoy crafting and want to explore the mathematics behind their creations. It's ideal for crafters, designers, and anyone interested in mathematical art.
