Bear's Big Breakfast

Bear’s Big Breakfast is a classic read-aloud tale that helps kids identify the letter “b” and has a funny, unexpected twist at the end. It’s from the author of Shark Kiss, Octopus Hug, Lynn Rowe Reed, and the bestselling, acclaimed illustrator of the Series of Unfortunate Events books, Brett Helquist.

After a long hibernation, Bear wakes up hungry! But what will he eat? He knows he’s craving something with the letter B. . . . Will it be a bark, a bee, a boa . . . or something even more surprising?

Lynn Rowe Reed is the creator of numerous picture books. She is the author of Shark Kiss, Octopus Hug, illustrated by Kevin Cornell, and has illustrated other books, such as Punctuation Takes a Vacation by Robin Pulver and her own Pedro, His Perro, and the Alphabet Sombrero, which was selected for a Best in Children's Book Illustration show at the Museum of American Illustration. She has also illustrated for the Wall Street Journal and National Public Radio.

Brett Helquist's celebrated art has graced books from the charming Bedtime for Bear, which he also wrote, to the New York Times–bestselling A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket to the glorious picture book adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. He lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.
