Item description from seller

[NONE] 1961. (Mass market paperback) Very good. NP. 8vo. Bright yellow card wrappers; bright red tilte and drawing of 'Beat cook' to front. Pages stapled; cover glued, as issued. That said, the text pages, clean, bright, and solidy stapled, have started to pull / separate from the cover. Otherwise clean and bright, and still, a fabulous and delightful book in very good condition, with inexpensive, quick recipes for food that are a gas to gobble down. 'Ginsbergers', Takaleeka Salad', the 'Kerouac Kocktail', 'Dharma Buns', 'Venice West' (A Rare Bit), and 'Subterranean Spudniks', and 'Pickled Beats' are only a few of the treasures found in the pages. Cool illustration with each recipe. Eat Beat and bring some light into your pad. Includes adverts for forthcoming publications from the 7 Poets Press.

Store description

Established in 1970. We specialize in Prairie Canadiana (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta), Travel & Exploration, The North, and Aboriginal Peoples ("North American Indian"). Although these areas comprise the main sections in the store, they are by no means our only focus! We boast an impressive Literature section, a vast array of Art Books and Gallery Catalogues, a respectable offering of Science & Medicine titles, and drool-worthy cabinets of antiquarian tomes (of course). A member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Canada (ABAC), the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), and the National Archival Appraisal Board of Canada (NAAB). We do appraisals, for insurance purposes, institutional, or otherwise. Open by chance or appointment. Feel free to call or email!…
