Synopsis
Taking Misery to Miracles in Just 5 weeks...
This book, now in it's second edition is deliberately small, concise and to the point.
This is precisely why the first edition achieved bestseller status for self published books quickly.
It's ONLY intent is to provide the reader with a good primer about the various types and causes of peripheral neuropathy. The reason for this is quite simple.
We find many patients as well as healthcare professionals have difficulty navigating effective neuropathy and chronic pain treatment options.
Neuropathy is not a one-size-fits-all disorder. Peripheral neuropathy can be caused by or is a manifestation of many different underlying conditions. Unfortunately, even well-intentioned physicians are not aware of this. And this is a critical fact because rarely is drug only therapy effective in peripheral neuropathy and many forms of chronic pain.
More importantly however we tell the story of actual case studies from our clinics. We also talk about the various treatment options that peripheral neuropathy patients now have.
We discuss laser, LED, manual therapies and various neuro-simulation techniques as well as nutritional components that are proving to be promising, and supported by research. For the science minded or health care professional reader, we also provide an introduction for physicians, as well as literature references were applicable.
Much more detailed information about self-care, diet, lifestyle changes etc. is contained in our 2012 edition of "I Beat Neuropathy! Getting Your Life Back on Track"
We thank you and wish you the best along your journey back to health!
About the Author
About John Hayes, Jr., DC, MS, MD & Patti Hayes
After opening the very first multidisciplinary health care center, Dr Hayes next implemented one of the first ever EMR (Electronic Medical Records) into Private Practices. He and his wife Patti along with physician input began the first 24/7 web-based clinical and practice development trainings for Private Practice Owners.
Their private practice was founded upon referrals from primary care physicians and surgeons. Initially we treated many pre and post-operative patients primarily with musculoskeletal disorders. As medical referrals grew, we saw more seriously ill patients with heart disease, diabetes and chronic pain.
They developed better treatment systems adding clinical nutrition, diet and weight control including lifestyle counseling. As our experience grew so did our medical referrals.
They began to see many more very sick patients with peripheral neuropathy. Over several years we developed practice systems to significantly help many neuropathy and pain patients and so many more physicians responsive to our work.
They then began attracting referrals from pain management and even oncology. Ultimately Dr. Hayes was asked by physicians to report, teach and perform research on which components of our care were helpful and why.
All of this lead him to graduate as a Summa Cum Laude MD in 2017.
Now his life focus is learning how to better prevent and treat our sickest patients by becoming a primary care physician.
His wife Patti has been his right hand and is now CEO of the companies they jointly founded as John pursues his Graduate Medical Education as a resident physician.
