About the Author

LIONEL SALEM, Research Professor in the French National Research Center (CNRS), is an internationally renowned theoretical chemist and "popularizer" of science, best known for his book The Marvels of the Molecule, which has been translated into a number of languages. He was advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for the French government. The son of a former professor of mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Salem received his education at Cambridge University.
FRÉDÉRIC TESTARD is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Nice, in France. Professor Testard is a graduate of one of the prestigious Écoles Normales Supérieures.
CORALIE SALEM is an artist and illustrator with a degree in graphic design. She designs corporate logos for French clients and is the daughter of Lionel Salem.
