About BecksideBooksPenrith
Established in 2007, Beckside Books is a Second hand and Antiquarian bookshop tucked away in a central but quiet part of the historic town of Penrith, Cumbria, and just 15 minutes by car from Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. Housed in an 18th Century listed building, we have over 18000 books spread over two floors covering a wide range of topics, including Cumbria, archaeology, history, science, art, theology, children's, fiction and much more! Listed on line are just a few of the interesting books we have to sell . Please call in if you are in the area, browsers are welcome. We are open Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm.

Terms of sale
We take pride in the accuracy of our descriptions and will always err on the side of caution to ensure certainty of your satisfaction.
We prefer to collate our books, to ensure they are complete, by ensuring that the contents exactly match bibliographic information from other trusted sources, however this unfortunately cannot be done with every item. We will always have a flick through for noticible faults and note them accordingly, however, if you find any faults with the book that are not included in our description then we are very happy to refund all costs once we receive the item back in the same condition that it was sent in.
Shipping terms
We aim to post out all our items within 1-2 working days of the order being received.
Most items are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48hrs, although bulkier items may be sent using a differing courier to keep costs down.
Where possible we aim to recycle old packaging but will always ensure that your parcel is very well packaged so it arrives in the exact same condition that it leaves us in.
