Becoming Dangerous

He was told he might not live past his teens.

His body broke more than once.

And for years, survival felt like the only skill he could trust.

Becoming Dangerous is a narrative memoir about a life shaped by illness, loss, and interruption-and the slow, unglamorous awakening that followed. It traces a journey through chronic disease, near death, fractured relationships, and repeated reinvention, not to search for meaning in suffering, but to understand how awareness changes what suffering becomes.

Blending lived experience with psychology, neuroscience, and embodied insight, this book explores how thoughts shape the body, how stress becomes identity, and how presence interrupts the patterns that quietly control a life. It is not a promise of healing or a guide to happiness. It is a record of attention-what happens when a person stops running from their own interior world.

This book is for anyone who has endured quietly.

For anyone who feels capable, functional, and exhausted.

For anyone who suspects there is more to life than surviving it.

Dangerous does not mean destructive.

It means awake.
