Who likes beef stew? Do YOU? "Who will come to dinner?" is the question in this sweet Step 2 reader!
Nicky's mom is making so much stew that he is allowed to bring a friend home for supper. But his best friend Alec can't come, and Carla won't come--she hates beef stew. So Nicky begins a funny, frantic quest for someone to share his favorite dish.
Step 2 Readers use basic vocabulary and short sentences to tell simple stories. They are perfect for children who recognize familiar words and can sound out new words with help.
