Marriage is a covenant—a binding agreement between one man and one woman to take each other for wedded wife and wedded husband until parted by death. Marriage is also the plan of God, as He demonstrated with Adam and Eve and by the presence of Jesus at the wedding in Cana of Galilee, where He performed his first public miracle. The family is the foundation God chose to build organized societies upon. The family is the most important means of socialization in a child’s life and determines—to a tremendous extent—what kind of person that child will be. The Bible tells us that “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” and we have found that many Christians have forgotten what the Word of God has to say about marriage.
Authors Carl and Charity Taylor have a desire to see everyone enjoy a fruitful marriage. They believe that although many people say that they just fell in love, they say that they have grown in love. A love that grew because of tests and trials that they faced along the way. According to 1 Corinthians the 13th chapter, love never fails. This is the foundation on which to build your marriage!
For those not yet married, the purpose of this book is to prevent a terrible marriage and to help initiate a marriage that is a howling success! For those who are already married, this book will enhance your relationship and help you recover from any presumably “irreconcilable” differences. Find wisdom and gain understanding through this method of instilling God’s principles for righteous, moral, and happy living within the stable boundaries of a Godly marriage.
