Before Connections Were Lost: The Prequel to Lost Connections

In the Issi Tribe, a Native American tribe in what became Alaska, members are always born with dark skin and brown eyes. Foreigners are not allowed in the village, and magic does not exist. Tazkinali, a shaman with light skin and green eyes, will defy everything as the outcast of the Tribe. To keep her safe, Nali's father makes a deal with the Chief. She will marry Maakem, the Chief's son, and in exchange no one will find out about her special abilities. Tazkinali is prepared to throw her life away and marry someone she does not love until she saves the life of a man she discovers on an adventure. She and the man have much more in common than Nali originally thinks, and soon the two form a connection. But can she trust what he tells her, or will she end up losing everything she's ever known? Jordan Ramirez's first book as a debut author is the prequel to the Lost Connections series - historical and modern fantasies filled with twisted relationships, dangerous magic, all-consuming revenge, and life-altering decisions.
