Six years ago my mother requested that I should write a story abouthow things were when we all were young. The experiences we had andendured along the way while making memories that would last a lifetime.The things that we often sat around talking about on so many occasionsand would laugh so hard we would be in tears. My mother felt that otherpeople would enjoy some of our fondest memories from my childhood asshe did her best to raise her children as a single parent most of the time.My family felt it was a blessing to be able to look back and laugh about itall, what my mother referred to as the good old days. There are somestories you would not believe, but they a true some are funny and someare sad. My mother passed away on Thanksgiving day of 2006 so I amreally trying to keep a promise that I made to her and keep our fondestand most cherished memories from my childhood and share it with theworld. That is what my mother wanted me to do, I really hope you enjoyBefore We Get Old (the good old days).

I am a writer and a chef. I love cooking but I love writing more. I am a married woman and mother to four sons. My creativity extends beyond motherhood. Writing is something I started ten years ago. I have written a lot of poetry during that time, although I do not consider myself a poet. Writing fiction and non-fiction is always a road to adventure for me.
