- Book 1 of 1: AI Software Handbooks
Learn Modern .NET Development From Scratch. Properly.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn C#, .NET, Git, GitHub, the terminal, and AI coding tools but felt overwhelmed, this book is for you.
Beginner Lessons for .NET, C#, Git, GitHub, Terminal, and Codex CLI is a practical, step-by-step guide designed for absolute beginners who want to understand how modern software development actually works, not just copy code and hope for the best.
This is not a theory dump.
This is not a glossy motivational book.
This is a hands-on, grounded introduction that takes you from zero to real capability.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll start with the fundamentals and build confidence lesson by lesson:
• What .NET actually is, and why it underpins so much modern software
• How C# works, including real examples you can run yourself
• How to use the terminal without fear or confusion
• How Git and GitHub really work, and why every developer uses them
• How to set up a proper development environment on Windows, macOS, or Linux
• How repositories, commits, branches, and remotes fit together
• How to build and run your first .NET application step by step
• How to safely use AI coding assistants like Codex and GitHub Copilot without becoming dependent on them
Every concept is explained in plain language, using clear analogies and practical exercises so things actually stick.
Why This Book Is Different
Most beginner programming books assume too much, rush too fast, or skip the “why”.
This book does the opposite.
• Written for people with no prior coding experience
• Explains the tools professionals actually use, not toy examples
• Shows you how everything fits together in the real world
• Includes hands-on tasks in every lesson
• Introduces AI tools responsibly, with limits and best practices
By the end, you will not just have run some code.
You’ll understand how modern development workflows really work.
This book is ideal if you are:
• Completely new to programming
• A student or career changer
• A technical professional who wants to finally “get” code
• A business or IT professional wanting to understand developers properly
• Someone who wants to use AI tools effectively without blindly trusting them
If you want a solid foundation before moving on to more advanced .NET, cloud, or AI development, this book gives you exactly that.
The Bottom Line
This book gives you the confidence to stop guessing and start building.
No hype.
No shortcuts that hurt you later.
Just clear explanations, real tools, and a proper starting point for modern software development.
If you want to learn .NET the right way from day one, this is where you start.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
