Are you struggling to navigate Altium Designer’s dense interface? Are complex library setups, hidden toolbars, and ambiguous licensing terms holding you back from bringing your electronic projects to life?
Altium Designer 26.5 is the undisputed industry standard for printed circuit board (PCB) design, but its steep learning curve often leaves beginners, students, and self-taught hardware engineers feeling paralyzed. Most manuals drag you through dense theory or outdated menus. A Beginner’s User Guide to Altium Designer 26.5 skips the fluff and cuts straight to practical execution, giving you a clear, visual roadmap to build production-ready circuit boards with confidence.
What You Will Master Inside:-
Schematic Capture Made Simple: Place components, wire nets, run Electrical Rules Checks (ERC), and organize clean, multi-sheet schematics without getting lost in the UI.
-
Flawless Library Creation: Build custom schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D STEP models from datasheets, ensuring your physical components fit perfectly every time.
-
Precision PCB Layout & Routing: Master multi-layer board design, trace widths, design rules (DRC), ground planes, and interactive routing techniques used by seasoned electrical engineers.
-
Demystified Licensing & Subscription Models: Navigate Altium 365, local licenses, cloud workspace permissions, and seat management without paying for features you don't need or getting locked out of your files.
-
Manufacturing Output Generation: Effortlessly generate production-ready Gerber X2 files, NC Drill maps, Pick-and-Place data, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for smooth fabrication and assembly.
-
Electrical Engineering Students & Graduates moving from basic tools (like KiCad or EAGLE) to industry-grade EDA software.
-
Makers, Inventors, & Hardware Hobbyists ready to turn breadboard prototypes into professional, manufactured PCBs.
-
Self-Taught PCB Designers who want to eliminate bad workflow habits and learn the most efficient Altium Designer shortcuts.
You don't need years of industry experience to design clean, functioning circuit boards. By the end of this step-by-step guidebook, you will transition from staring blankly at confusing sub-menus to fluidly capturing schematics, designing custom footprints, and routing multi-layer PCBs ready for the manufacturing line.
Stop guessing, bypass the learning curve, and start routing your boards today.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
