Beginning (Tape Recorder Trilogy) (Volume 1)

In 2015, a man who has been alive since the last Ice Age bought a tape recorder. Over the course of three days he dictated his life story as fast as he could while waiting for a woman to visit who he believes will finally be the death of him.

What did he say on the first day? He was born when the world was young, and cold. He hunted mammoths in his first lifetime. He wandered Western Europe before the English Channel divided the British Islands from the continent. He went to sea at the dawn of the Bronze Age in search of tin. He performed with the world’s first magician. He watched the true events that inspired many of the myths passed down to us today.

Beginning is the first book in the Tape Recorder Trilogy, a journey from the earliest days of Humanity’s shared story, through myths and legends, pre-history and history, and right up to almost the present day, all told by a narrator who experienced it all first hand and is now free at last to tell you his life’s story with whatever time he has left.

Through his words, he hopes he will be remembered.
