Behind the Velvet Rope

Ronny always believed he wasn't good enough. He couldn't help comparing himself to his friend, Dylan, who had looks, charm, money, and girls. He admired Dylan's life; grew up close to the Zelharts. After Ronny was dumped by his girlfriend, he became obsessed over Cyrenia Hope - a beautiful actress/singer. He relentlessly followed her on social media with much razzing from Dylan - until that summer, when everything changed.

This is the second teen fiction Simona Ciarlo has published. Behind the Velvet Rope is a story about a teenage guy who doesn't feel close to his family, covets his friend's life, and obsesses over a celebrity; until the summer everything changed. She wanted to write a story about boys, since she wrote about two girls with Two Doves in a Fishbowl - REVISED. Simona Ciarlo began writing to live vicariously through her work. She is also an actress, an avid animal lover, and very family-oriented.
