Published in the same year as the first edition, this work is very scarce in all editions.ESTC T199793, with leaf A2 signed as called for.The work of influential 18th-Century English writer on architecture, Robert Morris.Morris in this poem offers a response to James Miller's scathing poem 'Are These Things So?', which uses the persona of Pope to query if Robert Walpole might be 'the fatal Cause of Britain"s Shame, / The Spend-thrift of her Freedom and her Fame?".Miller's work prompted several responses, of which this is one. Unbound, as issued. Minor loss to title page head. Minor mark to fore edge of rear wrap. Final leaf detached to tail, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned due to paper type, with only the odd spot. Very Good.
