About the Author

Joseph Rail, Beautiful Painted Arrow, is widely regarded as one of the great Native American mystics of our time. His mother was Southern Ute and his father was from Picuris Pueblo. Joseph's teachings are grounded in his tribal ancestry, but his visionary mysticism, sound chambers and dances spring from his direct connection with the Vast Self. As a global being and world teacher, Beautiful Painted Arrow - Tsluu-teh-koh-ay- has given us inspired messages of new hope and new possibilities for awakening our hearts with compassion. Joseph is the author of ten books, was part of an international conference on the role of the warrior in the modern world, was given a letter of introduction from the United Nations to the countries of the world in recognition of his contribution to world peace through his peace sound chambers. Joseph has a BA from the University of New Mexico and an MA from the University of Wisconsin. He established one of the first holistic health centers for working with alcohol and drug abuse and has helped returning warriors deal with PTSD so that they can return to their ordinary lives.
