This book’s main concern is to give the reader a clear understanding of the functioning of the Belgian State. Citizens often experience the government’s structures as complicated and confusing. A basic knowledge of them is, however, essential. Not only for the “citizen”, but also for the teacher, entrepreneur, journalist, in other words the “professional” in general. Just think of the difference between the different political levels or the fundamental rights vis-a-vis the government.
