Bank plays a dominant role for upliftment of economic sector in present era. Indian banks can easily compete with other modern Banks all over the world. A Bank is financial intermediaries, which accepts deposits and create credit. It also helps for financial upliftment and disbursement for public beneficiary like a loan, deposits, investment. Banking sector plays a dominant role in economic sector as well as in other activity of the society. The form of the banking sector is changing awfully since its independence which leads more threats from competitors. Financial institutions are searching a way to manage their operation. Measuring the performance of the financial institution is the key challenge in hand of both regulator and policymakers. In recent time measuring the performance of the bank is the chief essentials to increase one’s productivity. Performance measurement is an instrument which figures out the information relating to the performance of individual, organisation, group etc. It helps to maximise the effectiveness of the sector. In this book attempt has been taken to highlight the performance of public sector banks using different statistical and multicriteria decision making tools, it also aims to perform benchmark analysis and rank most efficient bank, attempt also made to propose a model using AHP and DEA for performance measurement. The study also emphasizes a major contribution like the most valuable information on performance measurement, benchmarking, and ranking of public sector bank of Odisha.
