Beneath The Hills

Adamsfield was never just a mining town. It was a trap.
When Inspector William Hawke arrives in the mist-drenched settlement of Adamsfield, Tasmania, he expects to find a quiet town reeling from a tragic fire and an unsolved murder. What he uncovers is something far more sinister, a network of fear, secrets buried deeper than the mine shafts, and a strange mineral with the power to warp the mind.
As paranoia spreads and the townspeople question their own memories, Hawke, along with steadfast Sergeant Carter and sharp-minded Doctor Ingram, must unravel a mystery rooted in manipulation, greed, and a decades-long conspiracy. At the heart of it all is Harold Sutton, a man who’s turned hallucination into control, and fear into currency.
But some truths refuse to stay buried.
And some towns were never meant to survive the light.
A haunting historical mystery laced with psychological tension, Adamsfield is a slow-burn descent into corruption, delusion, and the price of unearthing the past.
