About the Author
Daniel Bortz was born in Cape Town, South Africa and grew up in Southern California. In the middle of his studies at a dream party college, he abruptly left for Jerusalem in search of deeper spiritual meaning. This began a six year journey of discovery around the world, studying Biblical, Talmudic and Jewish mystical teachings in depth. After receiving his Rabbinic degree, he returned to California to create JTEEN of San Diego, an organization that educates and empowers teenagers. Daniel is a sports and music enthusiast, competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments, as well as serving the needs of thousands of visitors annually at the Coachella Music Festival. He speaks to audiences around the world and has become known for his fusion of ancient Jewish wisdom and spirituality with 21st century life and pop culture through his popular videos.
