About the Author

Sergio is an award-winning children's book author/ landscape and wildlife photographer. Living near a quiet creek, he often finds his backyard filled with ducks, birds, and other curious visitors. It was here that he met Honka, a duck with a quirky honk, and later, Baby, a loyal little duckling. Their unique friendship became the heart of his first picture books and inspired the name of his publishing imprint, Honka & Baby Children's Books. His stories are based on real-life encounters with animals and the natural world, blending humor, heart, and a sense of wonder. One tale was sparked by a rescued fish, who survived a bird attack and now lives peacefully in his garden pond. When he's not behind the camera or tending to his garden, Sergio is writing heartfelt stories that encourage children to explore nature, embrace kindness, and discover magic in the everyday.
