Berkeley Inside/Out: A Guide to Restaurants, Entertainment, People and Politics

Book by Pitcher, Don, Margolin, Malcolm

A big guidebook to a small place, Berkeley Inside / Out supplies every cogent fact, past and present, about this remarkable city. The author thoroughly investigates Berkeley's institutions: educational, religious, cultural, and political. Restaurants and recreation are noted. A history of the town, authored by Malcolm Margolin, is included. In short, this is the only book about Berkeley one is ever likely to need. Locals will find it an excellent reference; tourists may be overwhelmed by the amount of detail, but necessary information may be reached quickly by resort to the index. Recommended for both reference and circulation.
