Collection of writings from both observers of & participants in the notorious riots at the University of California, Berkeley, that began in Sept 1964 & lasted until the next January, collected here by two political science professors at the university (who would both rise to eminence in their respective careers later on). Also includes samplings from the manifestos, pamphlets, broadsides, & other ephemeral material never before published elsewhere. An important analysis of a most significant series of events that helped set the tone for the entire decade of the 1960s. A Paperback Original (Doubleday Anchor A486), never previously published in any format, in 585 pages. Mass market paperback with black/red/white wrappers is in VG+ condition: completely clean & feeling unopened! Binding strong & straight, pages white & completely unmarked save for1 tiny pen mark to page 353 & some circled page #s in the table of contents.
