Prior owner's name inked on first page of Volume 1, and an ink mark in the Table of Contents of Volume 1, else pages clean in both volumes; bindings tight; heavy wear to dustjacket of Volume 1, and moderate wear to dustjacket of Volume 2. Volume 1 has 333 pages; Volume 2 has 439 pages. Both volumes illustrated. "These volumes provide discussions of the most significant research advances in beryllium metallurgy and its engineering applications. Volume 1 covers the theoretical background; Volume 2 is intended primarily for engineers, examining the production and subsequent fabrication of beryllium." Scarce as a complete set.
