Bessie: An American Red Ranger Tale

Meet Bessie, the brave little red Ranger with a heart of her own.

Bessie begins life as a simple little red pickup truck surrounded by bigger, faster, fancier vehicles that tease her because she is small and plain. But Bessie has something the bullies cannot see: courage, determination, and a heart that refuses to give up.

After years of hard work and disappointment, Bessie wonders whether she will ever find someone who truly cares about her. Then an extraordinary reunion changes everything. The man who helped build her years before finds Bessie again, restores her to health, and gives her the loving home she always dreamed of.

With a new life ahead of her, Bessie discovers America, makes new friends, explores the natural world, and eventually settles in sunny Naples, Florida, where even more adventures await.

Bessie: An American Red Ranger Tale is a story about perseverance, bullying, self-worth, friendship, hope, and the importance of believing that being different does not mean being less.

Written for young readers ages 6-12, Bessie also makes a warm family read-aloud and carries a message that older readers and adults can appreciate.
