A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy, a structurally sound exemplar of the Special Edition bound in the original title-blocked yellow and black cloth, still quite sharp and distinctly handsome, internally tight, bright, clean and strong, though with forward cock to spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, moderately worn, price-clipped, but protected by a plastic coat. 21 pp. of text, including Walker's Foreword, and then 111 leaves of plates, printed on high-gloss paper. Aubrey Beardsley died way too young (1872-1898); these mostly line drawings are quite evocative and signal the coming of Art Deco in replacement of The Gilded Age.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
