Best Day Ever (Memphis Parks Literacy Program)

Step into the imaginations of young storytellers from the heart of Memphis, Tennessee. This inspiring 10-book series features original works written by inner-city youth who turned the tables-this time, they are the authors. With the encouragement of Ms. Ericia Holland and the Memphis Parks Literacy Program, these talented kids captured their voices and visions on the page.

From heartfelt reflections on life in the projects to thrilling tales of ghosts who save the day, these stories are full of heart, humor, and hope.

In Best Day Ever by Kmyra Partee, readers are invited into a joyful summer afternoon filled with laughter, games, and sunshine-until the rain tries to interrupt the fun. But with friendship and imagination, every day has the chance to be the best one yet.

Celebrate creativity. Celebrate youth. Celebrate Memphis.
