The Best of Galaxy Volume One

Galaxy Science Fiction was published from 1950 to 1980. Its first editor was H.L. Gold, who turned the digest size magazine into the leading science fiction magazine of its time.
Bottom of the Hill Publishing has researched the old issues of Galaxy Science Fiction and this book, THE BEST OF GALAXY Volume One features stories by a host of great author's. H.L. Gold brought a "sophisticated intellectual subtlety" to the pages of Galaxy, aided by author Frederik Pohl. When Gold's health caused him to resign from the magazine, Frederik Pohl became the editor and continued Galaxy's winning ways.
THE BEST OF GALAXY Volume One is but the first of many volumes, because there are simply too many great stories to confine the title to one effort. This volume features stories by Fritz Leiber, Lester Del Rey, Joseph Shallit, Robert Sheckley and nine other authors equally talented.
