More than just a Statistics Master's Thesis with an impressive Definition of Terms section, this is a deep dive into the Southern California Horse Racing World with an emphasis on creating a Prediction Model for each race using standard Statistics and Mathematics techniques. A unique and highly practical system for identifying good and bad bets at the major SoCal racetracks is created and analyzed. A probability matrix for each individual race is created with all possible variables evaluated for inclusion in the final Prediction Model. The objective is to create and analyze an empirical system for weighing all positive and negative factors associated with each horse in a race and then calculating probabilities for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes.
