Be the Best of Whatever You Are (Paperback or Softback)

"Be the Best of Whatever You Are" is a timeless collection of inspirational verse and wisdom from the celebrated poet Douglas Malloch. At the heart of this work is the titular poem, a powerful call to self-actualization and personal pride that has resonated with readers for generations. Malloch's poetry emphasizes the dignity of all labor and the importance of character over status, reminding us that success is not measured by the scale of one's task, but by the excellence with which it is performed.

This collection showcases Malloch's signature style-accessible, rhythmic, and deeply rooted in the spirit of hard work and optimism. Whether reflecting on nature, the simple joys of life, or the inner strength required to face adversity, the verses offer profound encouragement and moral clarity. "Be the Best of Whatever You Are" serves as a guide for anyone seeking motivation and a reminder that every individual has a vital part to play in the grander scheme of the world. Its enduring popularity lies in its universal message: if you can't be a highway, then just be a trail; if you can't be the sun, be a star.
