illustration, music, [10p. Softcover in original tri-colored (purple, gold and green) triple wrapper. String-tied at top. 21cm Covers faded along edges. Contents sound and clean." Illustration titled "Betsy Strawberry" is by John Pemberton. At head of title on tri-covers: A Souvenir of New Orleans. Harrison says of Ms. Strawberry: ". our old Mammy . about typified the average Southern negro as I had known them. I have striven to accentuate their race characteristics; their ignorance; their utter lack of morality; their absolute disregard for each other; their improvidence; their beautiful devotion to their charges when their affections were enlisted.".
