A Better Proposal

Jill Northrop has an impressive career, a fervent desire for control, and a sudden need to get as far away from her old life as possible. So the timing is perfect when her firm offers her a contract across the country. New city, new job, new people. She couldn’t have planned her fresh start any better.

Until her first client walks in.

Enter Dr. Alexander Campbell: brilliant, impossible, and—unfortunately—the same maddening TA who made her first year of university a nightmare. Now eight years later, he’s running a chaotic startup and desperate for Jill’s help to write the funding proposal that could save it.

The only way for Jill to handle this is to keep things strictly professional. He’s still chronically late, chaotically disorganized … and undeniably hot. Now working side by side, a different Alex comes through. He’s attentive, patient … and ready to sweep her off her feet.

And that’s not in her plan.
