Beyond Addictions: Free To Live a New Life in Christ Jesus

"Beyond Addictions" is a Biblically-based, Christ-centered book that has been used in prison to successfully set men free from addictions. It is now available to everyone who wants to move beyond their addictions to experience new life in Christ.***** "Beyond Addictions" begins with a Biblical description of the problem, and directs you to the solution that is found in a practical, daily relationship with Jesus Christ. The book relies heavily upon the application of scripture; more than 200 passages are employed throughout to show you how God can set you free, and keep you free, from all addiction. Assignments are also included to enable you to apply the lessons learned in each chapter. Here are some comments from former students and others who are familiar with Beyond Addictions.***** "This course was instrumental in making a real change, transforming my thinking and my behavior. God used it to set me free in prison and to keep me free now that I'm on the outside.***** After re-reading the "Beyond Addictions" book, I realized how much of it I have incorporated into my daily life since my release two years ago. I heartily recommend it for anyone who truly wants to move beyond all addictions into a free and meaningful life."***** John D. Whitehead-- Beyond Addictions Graduate 2008***** "In 2002, I participated in the first Beyond Addictions class. It helped me understand who I was in Christ, which transitioned me from being a user of drugs and people to a worshiper of Jesus. As I began to understand who I was in Christ, the desire to worship Him grew, and the old lifestyle simply began to fall away.***** I encourage you to not just read but put into practice the contents of this book and you'll find that in worshiping Jesus, you'll truly find the 'good life.'"***** Jeremy Parker, Beyond Addictions Graduate 2002"***** Addictions are a mighty big problem for Christians and non-Christians alike, but the power of God is even mightier. In Psalm 119:9 David tells us how to live a clean life, 'How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.' "Beyond Addictions" shows you how to cleanse your life from the inside, as you apply the Word of God.***** God meant life to be lived. Some need a little extra help. I believe Beyond Addictions is that extra help, and I strongly recommend it."***** Rodney Finch, Senior Pastor, Calvary Chapel of Cary, NC***** "While serving as facility head of Dan River Prison Work Farm from 2003 to 2010 it was my pleasure to observe the development and growth of certain inmates involved with the Beyond Addictions study. The men routinely made the transition with biblical values into their daily practices, and carried the training forward. I received visits, calls and notes from released inmates who had participated in the program, and wanted to share success stories with me. The life choices taught and exampled in Beyond Addictions freed the men in many different ways."***** George Solomon, Regional Director, North Carolina Department of Corrections***** If you or someone you know has ever struggled with addiction, any addiction, then I urge you to read this book. Beyond Addictions provides hope for your future, and a solid foundation to re-build your life upon.*****Jeff Rudd

Jeff began serving as a prison volunteer in 1994 while working as an economic developer, and later as a county manager in local government. In 2001, the Lord led Jeff to devote himself full-time to discipling prison inmates. Jeff currently serves as a volunteer chaplain in two prisons. Over the past ten years, he has counseled more than 2,000 men, and taught more than 1,500 Biblically-based classes in prison. In addition to Be-yond Addictions, he also teaches weekly Bible Studies, a course on how to understand and apply the Bible, and another to disciple men as God-ly fathers. His approach is Biblical and practical as he enables men to apply God’s Word to the issues they face in their daily lives. The Beyond Addictions course is taught personally in two North Carolina prisons and it is available via correspondence or through other ministries in many other state prison systems. Hundreds of men have graduated from this course and gone on to lead productive lives in their communities. Many are using this course to disciple others who have struggled with addiction. Jeff and his wife Deb are the parents of two sons, two daughters, and one very special daughter-in-law. They live in central North Caro-lina.
