Canadian printing of a story featuring a woman "adored by her husband" and "desired by other men," but "who hated her husband, her life, and herself -- and who eventually destroyed all three." Basis for the movie of the same name, which starred Bette Davis and Joseph Cotten. Mildly cocked w/a bit of spine roll, some edge/corner wear, corner creases, moderate handling wear, previous owner's name to top of first end paper, library stamp to title page, tanning. Internally still a fairly tight copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall.
