About the Author

Rebecca Valentine is the author of The Gilded Age and Progressive Era and coauthor of The Encyclopedia of U. S. History. She has ghostwritten several health and wellness books, and has a weekly column, "The Family Room", Travis Thompson is an IT manager for a global telecommunications company an uncle of Perry A. Burgess. He is an avid genealogist.
