How the Bible was Invented

How the Bible Was Invented by M. M. Mangasarian presents a critical examination of the origins of the Bible, offering a skeptical perspective on its creation and the traditional religious narratives surrounding it. Mangasarian, a prominent rationalist and freethinker, questions the divine inspiration of the Bible and argues that it was a human construct shaped by historical, cultural, and political forces rather than direct divine intervention. In the book, Mangasarian traces the development of the Bible from its early oral traditions to its compilation into the texts we know today. He examines the role of various writers, editors, and religious authorities in shaping the biblical canon, highlighting the inconsistencies, contradictions, and revisions that occurred over time. His analysis covers both the Old and New Testaments, critiquing the historical reliability of the stories and the influence of mythological and pagan traditions on biblical narratives.
